I’m a qualified, registered and highly experienced Speech Language Therapist, who specialises in Speech Sound Disorders.
I’m here to help your child achieve clear speech, so their beautiful message can be understood by the world.
I started Speech Teacher as a way to help Teachers, parents, and children fix speech sound errors, with the support of an experienced Speech Language Therapist, who understands what life is like with children and has found ways to make speech work, well... work.
I never want anyone to feel like they don't have a voice or can't get their message across. It is my life's work and my gift to help others with making themselves heard.
I have two children of my own: Isla and Nell, who you’ll often see as ‘special guests’ in my videos! I understand what it’s like to be in a busy family, and I’ll never ask you to do something I wouldn’t do myself!
I’m not perfect, and you won’t see me pretending otherwise. Look for mess and children playing in the background of my videos and bad hair days in the foreground! Who's got time to blow-dry their hair while moving the mountain of washing out of sight and getting the children to pick up all the toys, right?!

I have a Bachelor of Speech Language Therapy (mmm, B.SLT - sounds like some sort of delicious sandwich 🥪 ) from Massey University, Auckland New Zealand 👩🏽🎓. I graduated from this four year professional degree in 2006.
I am a registered member of The New Zealand Speech-Language Therapists' Association (NZSTA.) Registration Number 12665.
I have over 18 years of experience working as a qualified Speech Language Therapist in the education and disability field in Aotearoa New Zealand.
In addition to my Speech Teacher private practice, which I founded in 2013, I have worked for The Ministry of Education, Child Development Service, Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), Rural Education Activities Programme (REAP), and Special Schools/Learning Support Classrooms, to name a few.
While working with hundreds, if not thousands of children, I have tested and refined everything that I do. I'm constantly updating my practice, to make sure I'm using the most current, evidence-based practices, to get your child's speech errors fixed in the easiest, quickest and most efficient way possible.
Together, we will work towards getting your child communicating clearly, so the important people in their lives can understand what they have to say.
